E-mail Whitelisting
Thank you for subscribing to The Swedish Guitar Method!
Numerous email and internet companies are currently employing software to prevent unwanted emails, commonly referred to as spam. Yet, at times, these programs might accidentally block emails you actually wish to receive.
To Make Sure You Get Your Swedish Guitar Method Emails, Follow These Steps:
Make sure to include the relevant Swedish Guitar Method email address in your email whitelist. This will increase the likelihood of receiving our content and updates.
A whitelist is like a special list of approved things or people. It’s a list of email addresses or website names that a program uses to decide which emails can come through.
Why does this matter?
Unwanted advertising emails, commonly referred to as “spam,” have become a significant issue. It has grown so much that many email services and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) have implemented blocking or filtering systems. Some have even started relying on self-declared blacklists to differentiate between trustworthy sources and potentially harmful ones.
The Swedish Guitar Method supports their effort to shield you from spam. However, it’s widely acknowledged that the current methods for combatting spam are far from flawless. They often unintentionally block emails that you actually want to receive, just because they match someone’s notion of what spam looks like. Even though dedicated anti-spam advocates are diligently trying to reduce these “false positives,” there’s a chance that you might suddenly realize you’re not getting the content you subscribed to.
Fortunately, there’s a way to prevent your subscription content from being mistakenly flagged as spam. You can counteract these blacklists by using a “white-list.”
Make sure to white-list us now to avoid any interruptions in receiving our emails.
Certainly, each email system can be unique. Here are guidelines for a few of the commonly used ones. If yours isn’t listed, feel free to reach out to your ISP’s customer service team for their specific instructions. (And if they share those with us, we could even add them here!) If you’ve set up any personal spam-blocking software, apart from what your ISP offers, we’ve also included instructions on excluding your subscription from some popular software programs of that nature.
